D'oh! Managed to leave out probably the most important word there :bonk:

I meant to say: I'm pretty sure we'll have a resolution to this tomorrow :)

(Sorry for any confusion caused)

Barker, you don't need to spend any more time on reinstalling; this issue isn't related to that.

Nope, that's not necessary. Generally, you only need the latest patch issued; it contains eveything you need to get the game fully patched.

I need to know what the solution will be before I can post anything, I'm afraid, but barring things unforeseen, that will happen tomorrow

In the meantime, thanks for your help and patience in getting this pinpointed, Barker :)

Sorry, only Pocus can help you :) , he`s the offical of Ageod and he will answer you when he is online, the problem is known, what the problem is exactly I can`t tell you. And like Rafiki said, you can install like you want, it brings you nothing only frustration :(

Pocus will help tomorrow, the frustration I understand I also would be, but brings you nothing :bonk:

Best regards
Warman

No, you did not. EB games sells valid products, but obviously there are some incompatibilities with the newest patch. This was reported before, but only Pocus or other officials know how to solve them yet. Please be patient, Pocus will be online again tomorrow and will help you for sure.

Not really, but it is configured slightly differently than the version AGEOD (and most others) sell directly. That difference in configuration causes the problem you're seeing, and I want to see a full-fledged, 100% official resolution to the problem, something I both hope and beleiev we will see tomorrow :)

Hello Barker,

Sleepy developer is now online! :)

You bought the game from EB but it is then handled by Trymedia?

Trymedia uses an additional protection scheme compared to us, they provide you with electronic Trymedia licenses. Their protection scheme is perhaps preventing a proper patching process. This is in essence like when you buy a game from Steam You can't patch such game with the standard patch but must wait for the Steam patch.

You seem also to get an additional problem, with the database mixed up. Can you please make sure you uninstalled the demo version, if any. Then install the game and try playing it without patching. This is the best you can do until Trymedia propose the "Trymedia special" patch themselves, but I'm unsure they will follow the product endlessly...

So you either have to play with the Trymedia base AACW game, and wait for their patch, or you ask for a refund and buy at AGEOD's ;)

Found out from EB Games that Trymedia leases the web space to sell this game. I request a refund and will purchase via AGEOD. This will be the right thing to do always trust the actual maker of the game and not a reseller...lesson learned

Yes,... but maybe AGEOD should also be more careful with their choice of business partners, don't you think ? ;)

Sometimes you can't be discrimintory on buisness matters. I am also a developer of software and applicational usage in electronic media. So we support our product but we can't say who can buy and who can't, that ain't good buisness.....besides Pocus is making it right , that is what counts....customer service is by far the best selling marketing tool a company has in its arsenal. You give great customer service, fine quality, good ears for listening to comments, instituting those comments and releasing a revision.

On the issue of updates and upgrades, we have a similoar system several products few personnel, tight revision schedule. But the schedule is out for 3 years down the road.

1. This what we can do this time
2. This what we are looking at
3. This is great content but the timeframe and schedule won't allow us to institute the change.
4. Is the change worht the bang for the buck.
5. Interim revisions: Is it a show stopper and needs to be fixed or can it wait for the scheduled revision
6. specific time frame for additions or subtractions
7. take into account individual customer needs vs overall product population.
8. what impact will this have on a few customers that have not got the latest and greatest.
9. Will this force the customer base to upgrade to recieve the additions
10. is it worth it all in the end

these are some of things we look at at a group level and not too much on a budgetary level
