How do I get rid of these font files:

Windsong

JPHSL

Lalex

edmunds


In preparation for applying 1.10b patch I decided I would clean house and reinstall AGEOD AACW

These 4 font files just will not delete. XP tells me they are write protected or in use. Tried changing attributes, making sure they are not in use....even tried renaming them....

No luck they won't delete. So I moved them to desktop. Guess I could reinstall AACW and then get rid of them by letting them rewrite the new corresponding files ('cause I am betting the previous patches didn't change fonts from the originals and the reinstalled font files will be exactly the same) but rather would not do that...it isn't an elegant solution.

So what does it take to get them into the recycle bin?

have you tried to delete them after a reboot?

No. I used a utility cleaning program that must have recognized them as "orphrans" and did them in. Stubborn little whelps.

There is a directory which contains fonts in the AACW game directory. I think he was refering to this.
