Vista won't load game

Thu May 08, 2008 6:03 pm

Several months ago I bought a new PC, but it came with Vista on it. At the time I could still load and play the game, but it had periodic freezes and CTDs. At the time I was basically told I was out of luck, so I stopped playing the game.

I came back in hopes the Vista issues have been addressed, but now after patching to the most recent build, the game freezes at 57% progress every time I attempt to load it.

I have no idea what happens when it gets to 57%, but it is consistently stopping at that point, so I thought I'd mention it here in hopes it helps debug the issue.

Has anyone gotten the game to run under Vista with the newest patch?

Jim

Hmm I run the game under Vista and have never encountered these problems. The game is quite demanding on the PC. Have you verified that you have sufficient PC power to run the game properly?
