Does AACW support widescreen resolutions?

Wed Oct 17, 2007 12:22 pm

I just ordered AACW + NCP from Henry D´s collective order at si-games.com.
He has been very helpful and i already annoyed him to death with myriads of questions  .

Unfortunately he didn't definitely know if AACW and NCP support widescreen resolutions. I just bought a new Pc and a 22'' widescreen monitor which has a native resolution of 1680x1050. According to Henry AACW doesn't support this resolution though and only supports 1600x1024.

So i ask in advance if Henry was correct and if so if it is planned to enable widescreen resolutions in a future patch. Would be a pity if i couldn't play AACW in the native resolution of my new monitor :p leure:.

I have a 22" wide-screen too and the games run perfectly with this resolution. I think it is hard do find any screen resolution above 1024x768 which is not supported. :)

All resolutions are supported. Find me a monitor with a 11451 x 7777 resolution (giant flatscreen :) ), I'm sure it will be supported.

But be wary, the more pixels displayed, the more powerful your PC should be.

Btw do you still play occasionally Dominions? Maybe you remember me, i am Boron from the shrapnelgames-forum and still a huge Dom-fan. You have been quite active in that forum too till Philippe started to enslave you as Ageod-Programmer  :D .

Your log-in remind me of somebody yes. :)

I have a burnt out for Dominions since quite some months. To say the truth Dom3 advances did not satisfy me entirely. For example an heroic game of this scope could benefit enormously from a small scripting language that would handles events, during the game. But the team prefers to focus on new races, spells and items. Personally I think this is not the main priority now.

That, or I'm burned out because I simply played too much the game. I know it since Dominions I and played in PBEM quite a number of time Dom I and Dom II. So this can be a 'natural process'. Anyway, this game is very dear to my heart, it is an universe by itself, with a richness never seen before.
