problems with saved game

just got a new computer Dual core processor with vista already installed(yeah I know vista sucks) AACW now crashes frequently, but I save often. Last night in the middle of a turn the game crashed usually I can reopen the game and play. Now this file will not load at all. Anyone have any suggestions? Are there any tips to allow AaCW to play better with Vista?

ps: the error message says something about !mainlog.txt

If you go to the folder on your harddrive were AACW is then you can find a sub-folder named "Logs" and there is all logs including "mainlog".

For Windows Vista the first tip you can do is to, in the property panel of the AACW link, deactivate desktop composition. Here, you will have more informations
