Critical Error

Tue Apr 28, 2009 2:49 pm

I downloaded the latest patch and had a "critical error" crash the game around May 1862. Something to do with "maptexture"

Think I figured it out.

Thanks for watching out for problems with the game. I've got the above version of the game installed, v1.13b.

I looked around in some of the other threads and others have had the same thing happen to them, and the response was to lower the 'image level' under the system tab, which takes out the blue water tile images. I'll let you know if it crashes again.

I also haven't installed any "quickfixes". Would this help perhaps? Perhaps I captured an army HQ. I'm not sure.

update: downloaded the latest quickfixes. will continue to play with the system settings at their lowest (no ocean, etc...)
