Fatal error running the turn v1.11a

Sat Sep 27, 2008 5:30 pm

PBM game betweeen me usa and csa host my opponent using v1.11a.

The csa host is getting a regular fatal error running the turn. From the log file

Exception caught: Violation d'accès à l'adresse 006A5DC4 dans le module 'AACW.exe'. Lecture de l'adresse 0000000C while parsing line 17602 : Apply

This has been going on for several turns - we are now in november 1862.

I have emailed the backup folder and the log file to support@ageod.com

Have played many pbm games past 1862 - never seen this problem before.

My opponent has mentioned that the error occurs during the seniority check phase of the turn.

Hi Adiscus,

This is a 1.11 bug, fixed in 1.11a or later.

Thank-you Pocus for your prompt reply. Excellent service as always !

My opponent informs me that he will be running v1.11a from now on.

I'm getting CTD in 111a with this same message, although I'm not sure about the line #.

uninstalled and went back to 1.00 and i have no problems. i dont see anyone else having probs with patch. mine is ageod online and original setup was 1.00. patch 111a is bad problem. cannot even open game to reduce settings in case of memory crash.

We can provide you a link to 1.10 setup if needed.

For the memory tweak thing, just send me your general.opt at pmalacher@age-studio.com (or at support@ageod.com, chances are that for AACW it will be me replying) to have an edited version of it.

how large is 1.10 setup? remember that i'm the one with satellite who has always had to download in segments when over 200 mb. how about a 1.10 patch with memory tweaked in settings? I've dropped back to original 1.0 and everything is running fine. but i'd like to get a little more current.

pocus was talking about sending full install of 1.10. but that is probably too large. i was asking about just the patch for 1.10. 1.11a has same ctd problem and I had to go back to my original install 1.0.

how certain are you that this problem is resolved in 1.1d?

the scripting bug "while parsing line 17602 : Apply" was fixed by me, I watched the code, understood the bug and corrected the problem. If you still have it in 1.11c, I would be very surprised.
