Well done game, and well written AAR. Gives me things to think about as I re-enter the game after a long absence.

I'd recommend you take the Union, now, and also request that you write another AAR.

Thanks for the request! We've already started another game, me playing the CSA again. Its going to be harder this time round as we've both learned a lot. I'm not sure if I'll write an AAR on this one. But after this game we're going to switch sides and I'll play the Union - and then I certainly will do an AAR.

Thanks for your AAR, congrats on your victory, and cheers to your opponent for hanging in there till the bitter end.

Great AAR.

"Luck" is often a result of right decisions. Your attack on Washington that won the game was a result of your changing the original plan of destroying Union at Harper's Ferry.

To be honest, I am a bit dissappointed that this game ended now: I really wanted to see if Union can recover from such severe losses. You might have been able to push as far as Baltimore and that would nearly even your incomes. Add to that the fact that you have far more VP and ridiculously high morale (while Union population is a bit depressed). South is an underdog and wathing tables turn and the fight continue with North as an underdog would have been quite exciting.

Congratulations on a well-deserved victory!

Union is stronger so I am sure you would win. What would be more interesting is if you play as Union... starting from the save just after McDowell was crushed at Fredericksburg

Now that would be a challenge! I'll have to see if we still have that save, I think we both cleared everything out when we started the new game.
