Game crash when opening load game screen

If you upgraded directly from 1.04 or former to 1.06, then you have to manually delete your saves directory (Birth of America\BoA\Saves) as the data format changed.

1.05 does it for you, so its the reason why people upgrading regularly BoA don't have the problem.

I have that crash problem,after deleting the saves directory do you save your games in that same directory? I have also experienced that sometimes you can launch a fresh game from the load game menu

the save directory will be recreated automatically.

The games you see in the load menu are your current games. The BoA system save automatically the games you are playing.
