Army "relocated" after completion of turn into non-adjacent region

Mon Apr 24, 2006 1:16 pm

If it's not a bug, it still bugs me... :innocent: :niark:

Lately I started a new 1775 campaign as the british (I'm waiting for the fix of Master Driller/Training Officer traits in 1.07 before giving it a shot as the americans) and ordered the Canadian Garrison (Guy Carlton, the 7th Royal Fussliers and a supply train) to march from Quebec to Montreal. Estimated time for completion of the march was 31 days.

I hit "next turn", watched them waltz down the river into close proximity of Montreal until day 30, the new turn came up, a message appeared in the message log "The army Canadian Garrison has been moved to Isle aux Noix." And indeed it was...

My question is, why?

I assumed that, since it was April 1775 and the river areas between Quebec and Montreal were still frozen, the engine calculated Carltons movement path on the river, and when he ended up just one day shy of dry land on May 1st with the Lac de Montreal no longer covered with ice, it tried to relocate him into an adjacent region.

However, Isle aux Noix is NOT adjacent to Lac de Montreal...

So, shouldn't Carleton have been moved to Joliette or Richelieu rather than to Isle aux Noix?

P.S.: I tried this several times starting a new campaign and it is always the same...
