Well, I have no real complaints, but it's obvious that you could have used the services of a good, professional editor who works in English.

For example, the game says "loose" when it means "lose" and occasionally adds an "s" to collective nouns (ammunitions). Some of the manual headings retain the original "et" in place of "and," and there is a classic attempt at social correctness in the introduction that still makes me chuckle: "...the player has as much time as he/she wishes to think about his orders..." and reflects its French origin in almost always stating points in lists as complete sentences rather than in clauses (omitting the sentence subject) as is customary in English documents.

I would not say that a leader has "no abilities," but would rather state "no special abilities." Also, an "unclear area" should be called a "non-clear terrain region."

Some of the leader characteristic terms are a little odd and unclear in English. Some examples with suggestions:

slow mover - poor marching skills
mover - good marching skills
fast mover - excellent marching skills
surpriser - first-fire surprise possibility
master spy - spy network (the leader is not himself doing the spying)
ranger pathfinding - (stated in manual as "move ranger," and "wild areas" should be defined for clarity - is it just "wilderness" or does it include "woods," "swamps," and so on)
ranger survival - (stated in manual as "supply ranger")

Well, enough. I don't mean to quibble, and I appreciate your dedication to improvement of the product. The presentation is clear, concise, and easily understandable in just about all respects. Your team is to be congratulated for its excellent work.

Using the Continental Fleet in the 1775 scenario, the name changed to "Flotte de...".

Didn't we tell you you all had to learn French :siffle: ??

Thanks for the tips, we'll correct as many as we can. Regarding the abilities naming, keep in mind they also have to be short in order to fit in the graphical environment of the game.

We are still working on going Metric (since 1973 )and now you want us to learn French? lol

There are multiple instances in the manual where the word "ET" is used for "And".

Also you really need to clarify the leader icon ratings better. After three days of playing I just realized that the 3 numbers which I thought represented Assault-Offense-Defense ratings are actually Stratiegic-Offense-Defense.

Also in the tutorial when it comes to the point when you are supposed to hit the TURN button the tutorial window says to click the right arrow button.

its always listed in the order Strat-Off-Def. If there is a place where its not like that, then its an error (point us on that please)

the tutorial typo is corrected, thanks.

I've noticed the ET used in place of AND several times. I always knew that the two years that I took of highschool French would pay off. ;)

The word supports should be without the s when it says, "boston supports has risen" It should just be support.

Yes, that's the one.

It should read just support without the 's' at the end.

It would read best as the following:

Sir, we are gaining more support with the population of ¤ (¤%).

In english, we would rarely use 'more and more'....

There is one sentence that I dont understand and it is this "George Washington is appointed by the Congress at the end of the Continental Army", dont you mean "George Washington is appointed by the Congress as the head of the Continental Army"?

Im fairly sure that it is the 1.04 patch i got it from in the 1775 campagin as USA.

I noticed that typo as well

well in fact George was a slow marcher, so he was always in the end of the Continental army, in the last ranks. Until he bought a horse that is.

oops sorry. A typo yes :)
