quick request for tool tip delay 1.6

Sun Apr 16, 2006 6:02 am

First off thanks for adding this but from 15 minutes of playing the first thing I noticed is that it turns into a 'strobe' effect for me. ie maybe the mouse isnt quite not moving so the tool tip will show, vanish, show, vanish ... any chance you could change the behavior so that its not quite so sensitive to tiny movements in the mouse before reseting the delay? Or so that if the delay is elapsed then it doesnt become active again until the mouse has moved totaly away from the current tool tip source?

Sorry to be picky but the effect became so annoying I had to remove the delay totaly which defeats the purpose :(

Thanks,
Myros

this can happen on optical mouses, mine do that at time (you leave it on the pad, and the cursor slowly migrate...).

I will look at the problem.

Yes, I have seen that too - a little tolerance factor would be good. Along with someone pointed out about scrolling ... the delay only works properly when the mouse is moving over the map and not when the map is moving under the mouse (scrolling).

Thanks.
