OK, this is indeed weird...and need to be fixed. Who else had the same issue? it did not happen in Germany, but noted it for GBR and TUR already. Can you report it, and, if possible, what the morale level was before the "incident"..I'll fix it via script, reducing NM by the 90 value of the needless bump.

Yes, calculation of the mistake shows a jump of +90 (same for Turkey), it's 9*objective's value mod (10 for capitals)

Currently nobody is. Spain could be selling (with the right investments), as could Britain and France (invest in the Carribean).

Building two still sites right now. They're supposed to be online quite quickly. Not sure how much I'll have left to sell, but should be able to sell some, maybe 4-5 units per turn.

In the meantime, there is plenty of outstanding Italian wine available. Our wine is more healthy than rum anyways.

Yes, I'll happily trade Moselwein or Gewürtztraminer against Chianti or Valpolicello... but let stop at that, there are dozens of wine producers ready to jump in...

Turn processed. A few minor errors were made during the execution of the Franco-Italian Treaty of Bizerte (France shall remove the remaining decision during next turn herself)

Quite a few revolts and rebellion again this turn.

Suez Canal issue

Wed Mar 27, 2013 2:12 pm

Am I the only one to have an issue with the Suez Canal...? :bonk: When I try to move fleets from the Mediterranean Sea to the Gulf of Suez (via the canal), my ship path shows that they circumnavigate Africa instead...

I know we had a recurrent bug with the canal in PON 1.03, and it's still not fixed (until we can do another patch with Pocus later on).

SO, If more than one of you confirms the bug, then we'll need a fix (whihc is ready). :neener:

One is there...

Explanations
The fix does not require big skills to install and is pretty simple in terms of inner working: I have changed the 'connections' between the land and sea regions around Suez to allow ships to "jump" over Suez from the Med to the Red sea...the only "bad" effect in game terms is that the canal cannot be closed anymore by force...well, this did never happen until 1914, so we could live with this...and in case there are coastal guns in Suez and you want to cross while at war with owner, you would get shot at...so overall it's not a bad solution.

How to:
a - first, go to GameData folder of your game, and make a backup or zip of the subfolder named 'Regions' (so in essence you keep the original game version of files)
b - Unzip the content of the enclosed fix somewhere else on your PC, and then copy the 6 rgn files you'll find inside
c - Go to the GameData/Regions folder of the game, and paste there the copied files inside, accepting all 6 overwrite prompts...

...that's it

PhilThib, is there any word on a fix for the 'plus' button to combine leaders and units?

Also, I have to say sorry guys. I've been meaning to update the first post in this thread. Unfortunately, I've been very busy this week, with tests tomorrow and Friday. This weekend I plan on adding a map (Jan. 1880) and a list of players, etc. to the first post.

I just lost my Concession (USA) in Wenzhou, but the the Dutch is still there. It said something about "The structure that is triggered by it would not be valid in this region". I was building it. Is that normal, or did something happen (like the Chinese took it over)?

It looks that concessions are removed by some random algorithm ... it is usually one per turn in some city, doesn't matter if I have garrison there or not. So it happened and we all must live with it ...

Bribery is the secret of succesful buisiness. The tooltip says only one nation can have Concession in a region and it seems Dutch paid more... Just kidding... :)

Did my turn get submitted today?

It didn't yesterday, and I thought it had today, but looks like maybe not. I'm apparently having dropbox issues. Never a problem before, but now it looks like dropbox isn't updating at all for me or uploading my stuff. I'll have to get this sorted.

Damn. Double check your dropbox space. I have heard of other people having this same issue, and it may have something to do with available space.

Doesn't seem that that's the problem. Can anyone see if either of my .ords are up now for the most recent turns?

There have been GBR .ord files for late July and early Aug.

They have been put up at 2 or 3AM Eastern US time by you (per the dropbox website).

PS - I see a GBR.ord for the 8/16/80 turn as well.
