You mean a single group destroying several rail lines during one turn? They can't do this.

Well, I have used several single units/elements of cavalry, spread over adjoining regions, to destroy large rail networks behind enemy lines. Just be sure you keep an eye on their supply, and the movement of interdicting forces.
