Buying replacements

Wed Apr 23, 2008 7:35 pm

I think I've seen the answer to this but can't remember where :bonk: Basically if playing the April 61 campaign and I get all those "free" reinforcements that enter at reduced strength, do I need to spend resources on replacements to get them to full strength or will the game take care of that?

You receive some replacements free, but you have to pay for most of it. You'll spend most of your early money buying these, as well as getting reinforcements.

In a word....yes

The units which pop up automatically at reduced strength will all need replacements purchased for them to fill out.

Thanks. Didn't want to waste men and money if I didn't need.

As the union, if I buy all the militia, then I start needing new replacements in early '63.

Need Help-My question about replacements

Thu Apr 24, 2008 12:20 pm

When I open the replacements window after a large battle, I'm usually looking to refill heavy losses to my Line Infantry for example. Next to the single soldier icon there's a red zero. I click on the Line infantry and get white envelopes appearing. Now the red zero shows the number of times I clicked on it. Say 10 times I clicked on line infantry. So I get 10 white envelopes. When I push "next turn" do these go towards the elements in a division that took losses or do they only replace elements that were completely wiped out?

In all modesty, here's a post that I hope can explain how the replacement system works:

(Note that what I call "replacement shit" is what is represented by an envelope when you buy replacements)
