Great Game!

Mon Mar 24, 2008 4:59 am

I know that there are a bunch of posts of people saying how much they love the game, but I just felt that I needed to say it too.

I first noticed the game a while back, but was a little strapped for cash and time so I had to let it go. Then over spring break while floating around the web, I found my way back here and I knew I had to pick it up.

Since then I have a such a blast with it, not just with playing it but looking up the history surrounding every aspect of it and the war in general. I can't wait to get my grand campaign underway and see what happens.

Welcome to the forums Edward Ord!

Yeah, it got me buying new books on the ACW and delving into all aspects of the conflict. We have a strong community mods group that has helped AGEOD extend the functionality and lifespan of the game, although a few around here don't exactly appreciate it all the time. :siffle:

Anyhoo, welcome to the forums and be sure to check out the Hobbes FAQ section and Runyan's AACW 101 too.

Pdubya, i think i'm one of the few guys that don't appreciate it all the time. :siffle:

I have to remind you that it is the developers' fault to make a game like this and extend our expectations and it is the strong community that encourages me to freely express my opinions about the game and its features.

So it makes me innocent both ways. :innocent:

Sorry Evren but I don't think "fault" is an appropriate term for the first part of your sentence, I would see instead "choice".
For example, apply same change for the sentence : " I'ts my fault if I bought this game"... :sourcil:

I think he meant "fault" rather ironic than accusing... :)

Yes, it's better to see it like that.
La mort est un mur, mourir est une brèche.
