Christmas Patch???

Thu Dec 20, 2007 9:00 pm

I sit by the fire waiting patiently for Saint Pocus to bring me some Christmas cheer, but wonder if the slay might be delayed? Hmmm, is Burnside or Little Mac involved?

Are George Bush and Dick Cheney jamming the AGEOD DSL and hampering the Christmas Patch? I want to play, but I hear "Old Man Cheney" has taken to hunting those of us who like playing games made in France!!! (Shivers as pellets from a shotgun hit the door) :8o:

I just find it hard to start again knowing a new patch will not work with my old save. :innocent:

Cheers,
Antsha

Merry Christmas.... HO HO HO!!!! Oh, wait in America we have to be PC so... HA HA HA!!!!!! :niark:

And when you have a PBEM planning to run for the next 4 month (100 turns, 5 turns a week, 20 weeks), it's a pain in the a..

Bah, nobody urges you to patch and with a simple copy/paste you can have a double ACW install.

There is a 50/50 chance that the patch remains compatible...

Not to cross genres here, but I will quote Johan from Paradox, who notes:
"A patch is never late! Nor is it ever early. It arrives precisely when I mean it to do!"

Who decides, if not you, whether it is compatible or not?
Are you planning to let the die-roll decide? :)

Thanks Ageod for your hard work and dedication

Thanks for all the hard work and dedication! And the fact that you would make an effort to provide a Christmas Patch this time of year with the desire we all have to be with friends and family...and get away from our work life for a while...is a clear sign of how dedicated you are to us who buy your products.

We have no right to expect this level of commitment for the few dollars we give you...so thank you...and have a very Happy Holiday Season!

Just to let you know, some of the scenario designers are hard at last-minute work on their contributions to the Christmas patch, too. :siffle:

Xmas patch Bah Humbug! Ebenezeer rules!

I hope I can rename Generals - I would love to have a 4 star Ebenezeer Scrooge! As some might figure I am not filled with the spirit of the season!

Went shopping for a bottle of my favourite malt today and the Xmas zombies have bought them all up - none left in my favourite off - license!

Xmas - Bah Humbug!

A lump of coal.... everyone knows we adults should get the best presents a few days in advance... (ahem patch) :siffle:

After all, have you ever tried to play this game while attempting to play Guitar Hero with your children? :bonk:

Please Mr. Scrooge.... might we have the patch a day early? I am truly afraid Tiny Tim might die from sheer boredom!!!!! :niark: After all, what is the use of Tim getting his patch if he is already dead? :p leure:

Me thinks us waiting to Christmas Day is sadistic... it reminds me of the type of people who would steal Tim's crutch from him! :niark:

Wow, this waiting reminds me of that crying Indians who saw the garbage! :indien:

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!

Ever notice how 'Tag' often posts something totally irrelevant to the discussion at hand?

Yea. Did u notice how big the expectations are from this patch? I think it's got something to do with the new buttons...I can guess those who are playing pbems are all keeping their breath. Me personally haven't carried on my campaign bc of the Missouri recruitment issue. :)

I'm happy about the Xmas patch whereas in other communities i'd be worried. Releasing a patch during the holidays means a very high % of the staff unable to support players with the new bugs possibly arising. I'm not worried instead as I've noticed the more they patch the more it improves and i've yet to spot a single side effect.

Big commitment ...you know, everyone should be with families @ Xmas and AgeOD instead is here to make us a new gift. Remarkable. :)
