Another supply question

Wed Sep 05, 2007 2:17 am

Playing has the Union, I've taken Manassas (a depot) and built a depot in Alexandria VA. Yet the untis in Manassas run out of supply and don't replenish. Why? When I apply the supply filter both areas are green.

Can it be that there are too many units? There 5 divisions divided between two corps. But I notice that Alexandria does accumulate supplies either although the units there don't seem to run out.

As always, thanks for the help

The depot is sucked dry each turn, by your units. But they can draw supply from adjacent Alexandria though.

I had a feeling that was the answer but it seemed odd being so close to Washington and in one of the more developed parts of the country.
Will increasing the size of the depot in Manassas and/or Alexandria help?

You can't have multi levels depot for now, but this would be an interesting feature if coupled with a on/off toggle. For now what you can do is gather manually wagons in the place, in case of trouble, but you can't ask the automated system to move even more supply in the place your army is.
