Nice Brute Force Battle

Fri Jun 22, 2007 4:01 pm

I attach an image of my last battle against Robert E. Lee´s Army in Philadelphia...I stopped their advance to Gettysburg, made them retreat, sieged for three turns with no breaches achieved (I breached their fortifications in the assault only)and assaulted...

:siffle:

Check their supply reserves...that might have played a key role in the battle, ¿?¿

Sieges resolve rather quickly, and you might of avoided all that bloodshed by waiting for a turn or two and seeing Lee and Co. surrender.

However, no one gets experience or recognition for a successful siege in this game, so sometimes it's best to assault just to be sure you get some leader promotions and experienced units.

And avoid lack of supplies and attrition,... such a big force left unavoidably my other fronts unattended, so the enemy could raid whatever he wanted, and he was getting a better entrenching bonus very turn too.
