No FOW - what do you see?

Since I only play AACW with FOW on, my question is: what do you see when you turn it off? Is it like i.e Rome Total War when you see AI moving troops from town to town with no reason, breaking armies and creating new stacks, units doing circles? Does AI in AACW feels the same urge to move off-the -frontline units in utter chaos or are "her" actions more coordinated?
