Red Flag Over Richmond

Under the Objectives list, a red flag with crossed swords shows up for Richmond, which I control. When I look on the map, the North's falg still fly's. Does anyone know what this is?

If I understand correctly, you (the Union) captured Richmond. Check the province control percentages. You can hold a city and still not have total control of the province. If you continue to hold Richmond, you will eventually control the objective.

That would make sense, it's unfortunate that I have completed that campaign and have started another. I apologize for not asking sooner (couldn't stop playing).

When this stituation arises again, which I'm sure it will, I will check the cotrol percentages. Has this ever happened to you, this way the first time for me.

I saw the same thing a couple of times in BoA and assume it works the same way here.

put a garrison (a regular not a militia) if the region is not loyal, or you will lose it.
