Revisiting the "why won't Lee unlock" question

Sun May 13, 2007 7:54 pm

It is April 1862 in a July campaign pbem game. I just got the event "Lee Takes Command" with tooltip "Lee is unlocked. You may appoint him at head of an army." But... Lee is still locked! Should he unlock immediately after this event or is there some random chance for unlocking him after? (If so it could certainly be worded better.)

Sorry if this has alrady been answered, I could not find anything in a search. Needless to say, given that this is a pbem game I am a little nervous... :siffle:

On another note while I'm here: I just got a result of "0" on the combat dice roll for a battle. Prior to this the lowest I had seen was 38 and the highest was 60. Results are usually around 45-55. Is a 0 really supposed to happen? Anyone know the actual ranges for the roll?

thanks!

Mike

I am having the same Lee activation issue...It's early Nov 1862 and he is still locked...I received the activation alert (message in red) early in the year..I purchased a Army HQ hoping that would activate Him but no luck so far...

Oddly enough, in my 1861 Campaign, I had Lee un-locked 2 turns before the "Lee Takes Command" message. I wonder if there's some random dice-roll involved with his activation?

I still need a saved game on this issue. The current turn (or one in the backup) should show Lee 'Takes Command' and I need the backups to get back one turn before this event.

I'll have to wait until I get home tonight then I can send the saves Pocus.

What about about my combat dice question above? Any information you can offer on that?

thanks!

Playing in the 1862 start pbem got the Lee event in April '62 and he released just fine. So maybe there is a problem between the scenarios?
