Grant's Army Command Isn't

I have tried to create an Army with Grant, and all he did is combine with the Army HQ. I cannot split him or try to form an Army. They are merged and no Army is formed.

No Army or the associated bonses. In fact, he is worse off than before.

I need help as this is a real tight PBEM game and when winter ends, I may get screwed without help.

Did you combine him with the HQ using the "+" button? Or did you use the "create army" button? I've never seen this or had this problem before.

Select him and hit the "-" button and try to reform with the "create army" function.
