Naval Battle Reports

Is it just me, or are there no detailed battle reports involving naval combat?

No reports (I think) when naval combat occurs in the blockade/shipping boxes. Reports as normal if on map. I think thats how it is. Unfortunately!

Yep..

This seems to be a small problem.

By watching the game, you know combat occurred at sea, but you don't get any feedback (as far as I can tell), so you have no idea how your blockade is working.

Regular naval combat generates battle reports (I've seen one or two in my Union game), but blockade boxes do not.

All Blockade box combats do is generate a text message telling you how many hits each side took.

That's nice to know. I haven't got that far into the game yet though, just the tutorials. I just spent 3-hours or so trying to determine why my soundcard didn't work as it did slightly before those few hours. Reason it didn't work was that I had turned it all the way down for some reason and forgot to turn it back up. Oops. :bonk: :p leure:

It's the simple things that can become complicated. :grr: :p leure:

there is no battle per se in the blockades boxes, it is an abstract calculation: % chance of finding a runner, and depending of the overall power of your units, how much hits you do against it, and how much in reply it does.

Even if there is no full scale battle report in the boxes...it would be very useful if the messages would not only mention hits given/received, but also what units/elements got completely sunk. That would satisfy me. :)
