TCP or Web system for online play?

Fri Apr 20, 2007 1:55 pm

So, will AGEOD implement the possibility of online play for AACW, either through TCP/IP, Network, or with that system they mentioned some time ago about a web system that would allow play online?

These two functions have been given for development to third party coders, and we don't have full control on their planning. :grr:
However, we are still comited to provide the community with them.

Sorry about not being able to be more informative.

Perhaps Pocus will have more up to date info.

I too have been waiting anxiously on this feature but trying to be patient. There is a thread under the "News" heading. Apparently the third party just chimmed in to let us know he is still working on it :fleurs:

The first third party developer, VLabz, is working on a Play By Web feature. once finished, this will be awesome. have you ever player Stars! with the Autohost website of Ron Miller, or Space Empire IV with the PBW site? This is really cool, even more than TCP/IP.

The second third party developer, Payou, is 2/3 done in the TCP/IP module for AACW (and BOA). Hope to get more news in may on the progress.
