OK, where do I find the latest version of the manual as a Word file or PDF?

Mon Sep 17, 2012 11:47 pm

I bought AACW from Gamersgate several years ago and would like to print the latest manual. The version available at GG is WAY out of date, being made for version 1.0. (Guys may want to send them the latest version.)

I saw the manual on the Wiki, but it doesn't seem to be printable, nor does it appear to mention which version it is for. I looked around the forum but don't see it anywhere. Also, if someone could point me at the BoA 2: WiA latest manual, I'd be grateful for that too.

Thanks!

Hi Ubercat, the User's Manual should also be under your installation directory in "..\{Installation-Directory}\ACW\Docs\" without the quotes. Also, do not forget to read the Update file in "..\{Installation-Directory}\ACW\".

Thanks again, guys.

Wow. I didn't realize that the AACW manual hasn't been changed in 5 years and the latest WiA manual is 4 years old. I have a printed copy of the AACW revision 19 manual. What is the difference between that and revision 20? I'm guessing that it isn't enough to justify reprinting it!

You are better checking within the AACW forum for the comprehensive changelogs, Lodilefty can be of help locating the file also, he is doing a tremendous job supporting older games.

The manuals for all of the older games are definitely out of date, but to rewrite them would require a lot of time not available to me.

The AGE Wiki is the best up to date reference of game concepts, definitions and especially modding code. The WIA manual is reproduced there, and is more up to date than the pdf supplied with te game.

Now, if there's a volunteer out there who would like to redo the AACW manual, I could get the editable version to them and help answer any questions!
Always ask yourself: "Am I part of the Solution?" If you aren't, then you are part of the Problem!
