Dallas

Sat Apr 10, 2010 2:33 am

Playing as the South I had the event that gives control of Dallas, Texas to the Union. I have defeated the Union and they left the region but I cannot capture Dallas. No enemy inside, I have tried assault posture, but the flag will not turn. Eventually I run out of supplies and withdraw. Anyone know what is going on? Thanks.

Cavalry, Artillery, Generals can't capture cities by themselves. (well late cavalry can but you don't start getting those until 1863 or so)

I know one game was all cavalry so that makes sense. The other one I thought I had a mix (nearly positive) of cavalry and infantry. I guess in my new game I will have to make sure I have infantry. I will let you know how it goes.
