What does 'military mode' mean?

What does 'military mode activated' mean?
Should I even care, or is it an 'under the hood' concept that shouldn't concern the player?
How did I activate it?
Are there other 'modes?'

Yeah, I think it shows who has the most MC in a region. Basically it's good for showing whether you can track supply or use rails through a region. If there's a sudden change from turn to turn, you can also figure where your enemy is, even if you can't see him.

Don't bother with that in AACW :)

It is here because the engine try to handle many things in a logical way, so even if you only have one play mode in AACW, it tells you you are back to Military mode.

Ok, I could have added a test to not display the message if you are already in the mode ;)
