Siege Question

Mon Nov 17, 2008 6:05 pm

Hello everyone!
I have a question. So I am playing as the confederates. Lets say the Yanks take Mobile and leave a large, 1200-1500 strength stack outside the structure. Over a few turns they build up several levels of entrenchments. I have a superior force ready to attack but do not think I can be them when they are so dug in. Can I advance in defensive posture and try and sit in the area and wear down the entrenchment level?

You can't wear down the entrenchment level of an enemy; only the enemy can have any impact on that.

If, in some way, you can get the enemy to assume offensive posture, they won't benefit from trenches though. However, the only way you can "force" them to do that, is if you manage to (re)gain more than 95% military control of the region, which is probably impossible with a large enemy stack present.
