My advice is always to do a clean install (set aside saved games and uninstall first), then patch directly to the latest update patch.

Hmm, just did the fresh install and it hasn't seemed to have fixed the strategic objectives issue. I even started a new game . same thing. I'm not sure where the descrepancy between us could be. Maybe Ohms can confirm whether he did a fresh install.

EDIT

1.11d has the problem yes, this is fixed since 1.12 RC1 I believe. Sorry for the mix up, I think I spilled some VGN code into AACW by mistake

I didnt read your post. Thanks.

Interesting set of circumstances here, I have 2 different versions of v1.11d.

In my saved files I have a version v1.11d datestamped: 10/06/2008 3:30 PM which gives the error that Daxil pointed out.

On my storage hard drive I have a version v1.11d datestamped 10/03/2008 2:39 PM which does not give the error that Daxil pointed out.

Obviously the error was introduced between the 2 releases of the save version, which explains why I didn't see it the first time I loaded up from the storage hard drive.

Just wondering the eurpoean civs box and the spanish one in the gulf. Have you guys started working on the content for those or waiting till aacw 2 or after VGN i know that at one point you had something planned with those. Just wondering how that is coming along. I am fine with waiting till after VGN or even if you guys decide to wait till AACW 2
Quote General Lee Gettysburg movie,
"Do you see, General, there is the great trap, to be a good soldier you must love the army, to be a good commander you must be ready to order the death of the thing you love. We don't fear our death. But if this war goes on and on and the men die and the price gets ever high. We are prepared to lose some of us, but we are never prepared to lose all of us. We are adrift here in a sea of blood and I want it to end. I want this to be the final battle".
