Tagwyn, are you aware that there are a french and a spanish sub-forums for each AGEOD game (BoA, AACW, NCP)??
From time to time, you pop-up on one of these forums posting things like
"hey i don´t understand!" :8o:
Don't know if you are joking or complaining, but this post make me think its the later :siffle:
And frankly, its a little annoying... :innocent:
For your information, the "rules" are: only English on the AGEOD forums EXCEPT on the appropriate French and Spanish sub forums.

As you can understand, not all the members of the French or Spanish AGEOD communities can read/write English or at least, are less comfortable expressing themselves on a foreign language.

These subforums are for them: there they can ask, answer and express opinions on their own language.
We don't write on French or Spanish to "frustrate" you. Just to communicate between us...
If you find frustrating to did not understand these posts, just think about how a non English speaker can feel when he finds 90% of the forums are incomprehensible to him :bonk:

Cheers!

Are cavalry brigades finally buildable?

I am using 1.08d patch.

Is anyone else having problems with regimental names not matching up with state origin of the brigades.

Cavalry names work well but infantry is a problem. Example, I recruited Birney's Pa brigade and all the regiment names are from Minnesota.

Any idea what is causing the problem?

to Jagger:

Yeah, I have the same problem...as in my present campaign the Federals are conscripting the poor minnesotans first (I'm not using the latest patch as I'm trying to finish the GC first).

For example the arty part of an HQ unit is always a battery of minnesotans.

There are files in the folders that suggest that cav brigades have been implemented into the game but alas I can't see them.

In the 61 campaign, you will receive some cavalry brigades via events but I don't believe you can ever recruit them. Same with other scenarios in that you are provided cavalry brigades by event or on setup. But I am unaware of any scenarios that allow you to directly recruit cavalry brigades.

Using 1.08d, I am running a game as the CSA vs AI to test the PBEM mod checking for errors and anything funny.

Currently, I am at late Dec 1861 as the CSA. I switched sides to check the Union side. The good part, the AI is making divisions and using new leaders. The bad part, the Union AI is not using their conscripts to build new units. The Union AI has accumulated 1257 conscripts.

The mod should not have any impact on building new units using conscripts so I assume the problem is with 1.08d.

Also the control command, which allows a formation to leave a region and immediately return to the same region, is no longer working.

This has changed, now Shift is used for that (doing a loop) and ctrl is used to force the path to the adjacent region without using the pathfinder. There was a logic to change that, although I don't remember it clearly now!
