Oo such a result can only be compared with the surrender of the 6th army in stalingrad :bonk: . 178k surrendered or dead on the field :nuts:

I wonder how that would affect all of this? I am also using Clovis' mod, which seems to help.


Maybe I mis-understand the variable, but reads to me like it is used AFTER a reteat is called for to influence the retreat location. I would expect the engine would first determine a retreat is called for then decide where to retreat. But that's just my assumption. However, if true, I wouldn't expect this bug to cause a lack of retreat.

A few things. At times there is only one region where a unit might legally retreat, and that is back to whence them came from. That parameter miscue would have prevented that. In that instance the force will stay in combat and take a pounding. You will see that forces often try to retreat, but aren't able.

At this point I don't know if we can say this was part of what was preventing wise retreats or not. But it might be a factor. That's why I said it will be interesting to see how this bears on retreat and stand-and-fight outcomes.
