I have to say, I'm with Grey on this one. I'm just not going to bother with a game that makes me jump through too many hoops to play it - and I liked 2nd Manassas. The kind of stuff I play there aren't a lot of Ukrainian pirates trying to hack it. I figure if I pay for a game I own it and should be able to play it on any computer I own. In fact, I also think that I should be able to invite my friends for a multi-player game without having to make them buy a copy apiece. After all, if I buy a cardboard and dice type game, only one copy is necessary for several players to play. Why should it be any different for computer games?
The thing that made me a loyal AGEOD customer was when I broke the CD for AACW shortly after I got it and then was trying to install on a new computer. I emailed them asking how much for a replacement CD and they just sent me a link for a full download. So I went out and bought a copy of the game and gave it to a friend.
