I'm running the same OS as you but fine so far.

How much RAM do you have?

I'm running Vista Home Premium w/ no problems

I purchased my computer w/ Vista already installed.

I have read forums where it seems Vista problems are more prevalent when you have an existing computer and upgrade the os to Vista.

Supposedly, there are other issues w/ driver compatability, besides just sound and video.

At least that's my take on it.

4gb of ram installed.

I have ordered another graphics card to see if it's related to the one I currently have installed.

Wich graphic card do you have? I´ve Vista Home Premium 64bits, 4G and no problem...but...Previously I had a Geforce 8800 with 320MB and had to lower the use of textures...now with 512MB on the graphic card there´s no need to.

Other than that it runs fine on Vista.

I hope you are running the x64 version of Vista if you're using 4GB of memory? Not that it should matter, but I got random lock-ups and general instability with 32-bit Vista running with 4GB of memory (not to mention the fact that I couldn't use more than 3,2 GB of the memory) until I switched to the 64-bit version. Now it's all smooth (esp. with Vista SP1 RC1 installed)

Microsoft doesn't charge many bucks for a DVD with the 64-bit version, and you can use your existing product key, even if your computer came with 32-bit pre-installed (OEM)

EDIT: got not goot

Yes, I´m running the 64bits version

Now, completly out of topic and regarding what MS charges, in U$S it´s not much indeed, when you live in a far far away galaxy...sorry...country...the exchange rates are quite a pain when trying keep up with technology...luckly wargames never are too demanding on hardware! (compared to a FPS that is)

I am using Vista Ultimate 32-bit UPGRADE [from XP] with 4 gigs of RAM ... AACW, BOA, and NCP all run fine. My graphics card is nothing special: ATI Radeon X600/X550 Series. Vista, by design ?????, does not recognize the full 4 gigs, but other than that, all is well with AGEOD on my 3 year old system.
