Captured Sub-Units

After a battle I captured 3 sub-units, plus 31 POW's. Are the sub-units included w/the POW's? I've never had this happen and was wondering what the difference was.

i guess the only thing interesting for you is the number of prisoners. For your opponent, he will probably miss the captured sub-units/elements in his OoB. I guess this means that you captured nearly all of the troops of that particular element. But for you, only the number of prisoners is important (in case you want to exchange later in the war)
