Playing as the CSA I´ve noticed a couple of things that make no sense for the AI to do (or not do)
First, no army is created, the AI builds HQ but they are sitting in Washington, 3 or 4 of them, even with my semi encirclment of the area they should be able travel west where they are badly needed. If they stay because the AI evaluates they are needed for the defense of the city, it should be corrected, I think.
Second, the AI has decided that one of the forts south of Florida is of paramount importance, so 46 thousand troops are packed there together with a lot of generals that disembark alone in the CSA´s eastern coasts and then travel south by land, maybe this troops and officers were given some R&R time.
I don´t know how the AI got the troops there since I checked only after detecting one of this generals having a nice trip south over Georgia alone.
I love this game but the AI is doing some really crazy things.
I'm not sure if this is an oddity or not.
I'm still playing 1.06. I'm waiting for the problems to be worked out in the later patches.
I'm only on my second June 61 campaign playing as the Union. In my first game (Pre 1.06) I fought General Lee several times in Northern Virginia. I never could take Richmond as he beat my butt.
In my second game I have never seen General Lee in any battle. I never saw him in Northern Virginia. I only saw him in the game for a few moves when he moved up from the south toward Island 10? (Not sure of the exact name.) He never attacked me, though he could have beaten me easily and stopped me from taking the Fort. He went back down south, I'm assuming towards Memphis.
Like I said I haven't seen him in any battle even though I've taken Richmond, Petersburg, Raleigh, Wilmington, Nashville, and Atlanta. Is this strange or just the way it happens sometimes?
