Reinforcements, details on the different units can be found where?

I've tried the demo and saw lots and lots of different units available for "building", what I could use though is some information somewhere as to in what way the units differ from each other (other than the strenght value).

Like for example the unit Texas Rangers under the Irregulars part. I cant very well be expected to recruit units without knowing their strategical use, can I?

I've checked the manual and searched the forum (found at least one other that wondered the same but no answer).

Thanks, but I cant find what it is I need there.

To clarify:

I would like some info( stats/text/etc) on the different types of units that I can recruit from the "Reinforcements" tab in the ledger.

There are "regulars" "irregulas" etc, but under each of them there are multiple units I can pick between, and the only thing that I can see is the strength value. I mean, I dont even know how the doctor unit works (I assume it helps minimize casualties somehow, but how should I use the unit).

However, I did check out your "abilities list" link in your sig and found some info that might help out with what the Balloon (+1 command points) and Signal (+2 command points) units do for a stack.

Still dont know what the difference between (for example) the Regular units are (besides strength).
