Moving Brigades between Divisions/Corps

Morning all, (UK Anyway)

Can I just see if I have this straight.

To move an arty unit that currently sits in a division I have to do the following:

1: Detach the division with the arty unit
2: Disband the division
3: Move the arty unit to it's own stack
4: Recombine the original division
5: Move that division tab back to it's original Corp
6: Move the now detached arty unit to a corp or division tab
7: Recombine the arty unit with it's new division

Tell me I am doing this wrong please.

You do not need to do steps 1 & 5. You can disband a division within its parent corps stack, and the brigades/units of that division will just appear (temporarily) in the corps. Then after you have extracted your arty, ctrl-click to select all the parts of the division and hit + to recombine it.

You can also drag and drop the arty directly into its destination stack, you do not need an intermediate step of having it in a stack by itself, assuming the destination stack is in the same area.

The only reason I move the division to it's own stack is in the case of a large number of individual units already in the existing stack.

That way when I break it up I know which ones were in the original division.

Just makes it a little easier to see when the unit display is getting crowded.

I have been playing with it for a couple of hours now and once you get used to the process it's not to bad.

But it would be nice to see a FoF type attachment box.
