Dumb Question #1

Sat Jul 07, 2007 5:14 pm

Just loaded the game and trying to learn my way around.

First question : How do you minimize this game to free up the PC ?
Windows based programs allow this directly with the mouse. Legacy programs (like War in the Pacific) allows me to Alt-Tab and it sends it down. Can't find anything that works. I'm guessing that I've overlooked this somewhere ...

In your Ageod folder there is a Configuration Utility.

Alt-tab works for me as long as there is another program (e.g. Acrobat) running as well.

Under Window Mode: Fixed Resolution, with border.

But be warmed the side scrolling of the map takes a significant hit as you have to be positioned just right to get it to scroll and slows down.

As others have said the best thing to do is open the other program you want, then ACW and alt tab to it.

I'm getting warm, but not there yet. Tried Windows M, and Alt-Tab did take me to one other program, but did NOT minimize AACW. My goal is to hide this puppy down on the scroll bar completely.

Have you used the configuration utility to configure it not to run fullscreen?

Windows button.

Right click on an empty space on the toolbar and select "show desktop."

I upgraded to Vista because XP didn't support flawless alt-tabbing. I am now much happier :fleb:
