Is there a way to buy this game DIRECTLY in US dollars?

Sat May 05, 2007 3:51 am

All I know is that the last time I bought something for 30 Euros (what this game costs minus the VAT that doesnt apply to US customers) I got dinged for close to 60 dollars by my credit card company. I want this game...but not THAT much :( .

Is there ever going to be a way to buy the game in US dollars without getting soaked on exchange rates? Thanks :) .

I believe NWS is picking it up, and possibly Matrix too, so you can wait for them and get it. I believe NWS might have it up on the site now, not sure.

Edit - Just checked NWS. He's got the page up, but no preorders yet, though you can send an e-mail to get on the list.

I bought it with a VISA debit card and it charged me only in dollars. No conversion fees. I think it was something like $45 after the conversion from Euros.

there is no additional changes fee, only the legal one, with 1.3 dollar = 1 euro roughly.

Hmm now it's more like 1.4 USD to get 1 EUR !
So 30 EUR less VAT in USD should be like 35$.
Darkstar your bank robbed you blind, they can't have charged 2 USD/EUR legally !!

To understand clearly: Our price (Tax incl.) is 39.99 EUR.
That makes it at 33.44 EUR Tax excl. (as non-EU customers do not pay the VAT tax)
Or, at PDF's current USD rate, the equivalent of $46.81 USD

Even if your bank charges you extra fees, it can't exceed 50 bucks...or you better find another bank :8o:

I paid with mastercard. The total on my bank invoice was $45.00 U.S. A bargain. I believe I have already got my moneys worth.
