How to..Promote General?

I have a one star general, Heintzelman, who is eligible for promotion.
Can't find a button to promote him.

He is in a division. The division icon is flashing, his Detail Box says "Yes" for promotable.
He is active.
He is stacked in a Corp that is not in a city.
He has been eligible for 2 turns.
There are 6 other one star's senior to him.

How do I promote him?

His wife keeps asking what the hold up is, she wants that two star general paycheck.

Tell his wife to take care of the other 6 generals ahead of her husband if she wants him to get a promotion.

Have you clicked on the second button tab, the one where there is the form army button? The promote button is at the bottom.

Searched for promotion in the manual but forgot about the button.
(I'm still a little grogy from last nights 2am campaign

I had to move his division off the Corps stack for the Promote Button to highlight.

Yep. To promote any general who isn't the leader of a stack, you'll have to remove them. The promote button only works for the top general in any stack.
