I confirm the game master is ready and delivered :king:

We are currently finalizing some final hardware technical mess and difficulties on the server, in order to avoid displeasing surprising or low download rates when everyone will rush on the purchase link :sourcil:

This will take at least 18 hours, but should be in schedule, baring shere bad luck.

FYI, the server which will handle the game's sale is outside of our company, with a big firm specialized in this kind of sales, and a large bandwith to accomodate you all... so part of it is now out of our hands :siffle:

Let's be confident :cwboy:

Hmm, I wonder if I could sell my beta key today for a big profit and then buy a regular copy tomorrow. :siffle:

..... nah, I think I'll just play it tonight instead! :niark:

Come on 18 hours doesn't make sense, Instead of keeping it in a drawer tonight and releasing it tomorrow morning, why not release it tonight... What do you think ? Hm ?

Technical matters seem OK and solved. We are fine-tuning the web application. Should be on time tomorrow...

And FYI, no way to release at night...we bl... French are asleep, so if everything goes wrong, nobody can help. As I mentionned earlier, the server is not in our premises but far way in Paris...

May be if we sell more than 5,000 units of ACW, we shall buy our own server :siffle:

So, if everything goes as planned, it should be released the morning of Thursday, 12 April, Paris time?

Which would be anywhere from 12am to 5am US Eastern time tonight, 11-12 April?

Should we (US Eastern time zone) stay up late tonight, or wake up early in our morning tomorrow?

Between this and the NHL Hockey Playoffs tonight, I'm a mess......

the latter is wiser I would say, because you could wait until 3 AM before the e-vendor activate the selling interface.

I confirm it is safer you go to bed and wake up early (if you can ever sleep :sourcil: )...

We shall plug everything tomorrow morning early, make final checks, and ...vogue la galère...(French expression meaning more or less "here we go")

I have never downloaded a game before. How fast it will take to to it. If there is many people on line at this moment, will the download rate decrease dramatically (something like 380 ko to 30 ko per second). I remember the "old time" with my 56 k modem downloading the huge IL2 patches during 12 to 16 hours with... an interruption at 95 or 99% and then had to start all over again...Of course with ADSL this is better, but sometime after 10, 20 minutes or 1 hour, i have sometimes interruptions. Thus i have to admit that i'm a little worried and afraid... and i will cross my fingers (et serrer les fesses) tomorrow hoping for the best.

My download last night took about 16 minutes at 420k, which is right at my max speed, not the server's. I think that was from the same domain that will be hosting the official download but don't quote me on that one.

I don't think I've seen that server drop below 420k in a couple of months so it seems pretty stable but I'm sure that nobody can guarantee it for tomorrow.

Telechargement.fr, our e-vendor has pipes bigger than Paradox, Matrix, Battlefront and Shrapnelgames together, don't worry :)

Heh, I think if it was my game a part of me would be secretly hoping for it. "May so many people buy the game that they bring the infrastructure to it's knees!" :niark:

btw I do think its cool that the devs are here to promo and help. Somewhat unusual. Merci
