Best A/I Settings....

Mon Aug 16, 2010 9:24 am

Hi,

I'm always struggling to find the optimum settings for the AI - at present I'm playing on Normal/Agressive.

What is the best to make the game more of a challenge - but not allowing the AI to be totally wreckless and commit some bad mistakes?

I find that if I push up the aggression the AI is somewhat prone to bizarre moves......

Suggestions?

Ta

Using the 1.16 Beta, I have nudged up the AI detection setting to the second highest. [the UNION AI] ... I have the rest of the stuff at the default settings, for the most part. I do give the AI more time, too. There is a noticeable improvement in the Yankee AI with the detection setting moved up.

With 1.15, I used it at normal.

If playing as USA against the AI as CSA, set her on "passive," which actually means, "not as reckless."

Do you mean that you uncheck the AI box, don't you?

Believe that would disable the AI altogether? I think he means on the AI Aggressiveness setting, click so the check is in the far left box.
