Strange retreat bug

Thu Apr 01, 2010 5:18 am

Early in the war, I took the Union Army and captured Federicksburg, VA. I tried to move back across the river to Stafford in which I had 100% control and a Union force. I got attacked, somehow, before I could cross the river, was defeated several times, and never managed to retreat back towards my lines. This went on for the next four turns until the army was almost entirely destroyed except for some artillery. Finally, after ten weeks of attempting to retreat, the survivors managed to get across the river.

What the hell?

Is there some explanation for this stupidity, or is this just a wacko bug?

He was on passive with retreat and move orders each turn. I was referring to the stupidity of my general who insisted on holding his ground despite clear orders to the contrary.
