Message Log

I would like to preserve the message log messages from an entire campaign -to see if I can piece together a sort of historical record of the campaign / war.

So I wonder if the message log is actually a text file. If so what is its name and where is it found ?

If not so, then is it possible to copy the messages laying in the message log as if it were normal text and then paste it into a text file such as notepad, wordpad ?

Sorry no, the messages are not saved from one turn to another and are embedded into the turn file, what's more. This would need a bit of work to export them to another file.
