Password?

Why does the game now ask for a password every turn, even when playing solo? Is there any way to get it to stop? It started doing this after the first PBEM game I played. It won't accept an empty field; when I try it CTD's.

When you played your first PBEM game did you use the 'turn compression' feature and if so did you enter a password? If so trying going in and just deleting the password. If its not that then it needs someone far better versed in the intricacies of the game than me

This is likely the case. Just un-check the 'Turn Compression' box in the options screen.
