Promoted generals loosing experience bonuses?

Mon Oct 27, 2008 2:49 pm

I just promoted Lyon from 1 start to two stars, but doing that seem to have stripped him from the increase in his stats that he gained from experience.

Before the promotion his stats were 5-2-3 (defense 1 up from his starting stats of 5-2-2).
After the promotion his stats are 5-2-2 again.
I know some generals change stats and abilities when being promoted, but Lyon is not supposed to change, I think...?

So, does this mean generals are stripped of the experience bonuses they have gained when they are promoted to a new rank?

Yes, I think they are.

The reason being that they don't have any experience at their new command level, and need to "re-accumulate" experience as per their new tasks and responsibilities.

Good, that makes sense.
Nice detail - I love how small things like this has been taken under consideration.
