Death of a Giant

Wed Apr 15, 2015 7:49 pm

One of the giants of American history died today.

One hundred fifty years ago, Abraham Lincoln was assassinated five days after the commander of the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia, General Robert E. Lee, surrendered to Lieutenant General Ulysses S. Grant and the Union Army of the Potomac; Lincoln died the next morning in a house across the street from the Ford Theater.

“Howl, dogs! A wolf has died tonight!”.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth.
