Civil war *era* games?

I am wondering if anyone can recommend good games that treat the political side of the civil war in more detail? Has anyone ever made an interesting game about the lead up to the civil war or about Reconstruction?

If you accept alternative history, I'd recommend Victoria II by Paradox Interactive.
