2 secret projects? Hmm... my guess is HCP and APW

But this poll is to ask another thing, after VGN that seems to be exhausting the resources, in which one should AGEod focus?

Just make a few sets because it seems most people are happy with downloads anyway. I'll bet the boxed sets would sellout immediately. You don't even need to print the manual, just sell me a cd! I would even bankroll the boxed sets, I know I would make some profit from it. Companies are just getting lazy.

I have nothing against digital downloads. Some of the best games I have are DD. But it is still possible to be different. Let me tell a story: I bought HWLG. I chose a collector's edition. Immediate access to DD. After a few weeks I received a beautiful book-like cardboard box; a 200 pages color manual (with another 200 pages in pdf :wacko; 8 color cards with additional info; a leather-bound USB key; and a CD with my name !!
. I paid aprox 90€. I would have paid more. Is it finantially wise to release such a box ? I do not know. Maybe RoP in DD is also not finantially rewarding, only Ageod knows.
Printed manuals, maps, cards are something that I love and for sure add an Incredible value to our hobby.
Regards

Nobody knows what is the uselfulness of preordering, and this could be one, only for boxed copies at an extra price
Those who want a boxed copy will get it and you will not carry unsold boxes![]()
Franciscus wrote:I believe the majority of games buyers do not care about manuals, etc. But I believe some of us "old-timers"value tremenduosly such things. Let's talk about RoP. I know next to nothing about the 7yW. (although I already bought a couple of books on the subject). I assure you, though, that I would have paid double RoP's price for a box edition with a manual, a printed color historic map, some cards with game art, etc.
And such extras would for sure attract much more wargamers not familiar with the 7yW.
Imagine a NCP2 box with a manual; a small Napoleonic history booklet with the explanation of the main campaigns, armies, leaders, etc. A full color map of Napoleonic Europe...![]()
Franciscus wrote:Regarding distribution, I know nothing. I only know that HWLG is self published by JMM and his daughter, that probably packed and shipped those boxes themselves. Is it sane ? Probably not
. Is it great and comendable ? IMHO yes !
Franciscus wrote:@ Generalisimo: I understand you have difficulty in finding good games in your country. Why don't you try the experience of receiving in your mailbox LG ? They have even shipped it to Australia![]()

vonRocko wrote: Forget the box, how about just the cd in an envelope? Or is that cost prohibitive also?
Heck, I'll send Ageod a Cd to burn the game for me, since I just can't seem to be able to do this simple procedure.
Nikel wrote:Yes, and of course only available if a minimum of copies are sold
To be able to sell a boxed version of the smaller titles we sell, and make a profit from that, we would have to make the box so expensive that no one would buy it. See how that makes no sense? That's why this is download only.
vonRocko wrote:I have tried. I get it on the disc, but never get it to reinstall. Thanks for the directions, and I will keep trying. Regardless, I still want a cd for my money.
